Faith Boost for The Doubting Thomas
For believers who are struggling with doubts caused by questions
they can't answer,
or evidence that seems to contradict the Bible.
Having answers for your questions and evidence is an important part of life.
In most every situation, it is better to be informed so we can make wise choices.
People respect a person who is educated and not superstitious.
Blind faith is not popular. At times, blind faith can lead to a bad decision
when someone doesn't understand the full situation. So as a general rule,
having a solid answer is preferred. But that doesn't go for everything.
Having blind faith that God exists, no matter what evidence is presented to
you, is a choice you are free to make. It doesn't mean you are uneducated,
it doesn't mean you are unintelligent, it just means you love God more than
the evidence and questions presented to you.
If you believe in God, and are a Christian, you believe this world will not last forever. You will take nothing from this life into the next.
The things that may cause doubt (theories and evidence, questions without answers) are nothing in the end. Why are they so important if they
come between you and the hope of a better world?
Sometimes in life, we get lucky, and the questions are answered. Even the best evidence that opposes the Bible can be found lacking, and we are lucky
to find that out. But when that doesn't happen, we are left having to depend on faith alone. And that is OK. Do not let anyone degrade faith.
Having faith is not a negative reflection on one's intelligence, and having
faith in God and Jesus' death to save your sins will save your soul. It could
prove to be the smartest decision one could make. If having faith makes
this world easier for you, and makes you into a better person, what could
be more noble?
But what of the evidence that goes against the Bible? It is not to
bold to say that none of it is conclusive and even the conclusions drawn from
it are taken on a certain amount of faith to believe, a faith that will not
produce eternal life if it prevents you from believing in God.
Blind faith in God and Jesus' sacrifice are the two things in life that there should be no shame in professing. Some of the smartest people
can still have faith in God and no one can truly take say they were fools. Nothing anyone else can say really matters when it comes to
having faith in God, their opinion is simply that.
An outsiders opinion is not nearly as valuable as the full reward God will offer those who stick to their faith in God in spite what others might say.
